The second float glass plant followed only two years later. In collaboration with Glaswerke Arnold and Nowak Glas the plant was inaugurated in Haldensleben, a district town in the Börde region along the Mittelland canal with a population of around 19,400. Christian Winter as the Chief Executive manages a workforce of 320 employees. In addition to float glass production facilities with a daily glass output of 700 metric tons, the plant also features a magnetron (coating) system and a system to produce laminated safety glass. The plant has been producing glass panes for the solar industry since 2009.
