Laminated safety glass (LSG)

For many everyday applications it is paramount that glass panes retain their intended protective effect in the event of accidental or intentional damage.
EUROLAMEX LSG consists of
two or more glass panes permanently bonded with a highly tear-resistant, low-elasticity intermediate layer made from a film of
polyvinyl butyral (PVB). This procedure is also known as lamination of glass. The safety glass may shatter as a result of excessive stress upon impact, but the shards remain on the undamaged PVB layer. The damaged pane consequently retains a degree of residual stability and the glazed surface remains sealed. A further effect is that the risk of injuries is reduced as a result of the bond between shards and foil. We possess DIN certificates for the majority of LSG glazing (P2A, P4A).
